I find it kinda interesting how most western Godzilla adaptations rarely set scenes in Japan. It makes sense, nearly every Goji film has him attacking Japan, so the creators wanting a change in national setting is understandable. They're all about globetrotting.

It'd be neat to see more Kong backstory in the films. I haven't read it, but the comic Birth of Kong established that he was pretty much Bruce Wayne-d.
It's getting reprinted together with Godzilla Aftershock in a single volume (Titanthology is called) if you are interested!
