You can see in these turnarounds how she changed. Before, her skin and hair weren't complimenting her clothes and her accent pieces didn't tie in at all. Her skin was causing her to get lost in her shirt and there wasn't enough contrast. I liked the old one but I LOVE the new one

I hate Putting bright saturated yellows, reds, and blues on theropods, especially on small horns since higher contrast works just fine and that’s probably not what they were for
I feel they were more likely used to keep sunlight out of the animals eyes like in modern predators

what has changed about the bandori style specifically over time:

-saturation has gone up! especially for hair/eye/skin color
-lighting is more bold and creates good contrast in the outfit
-the backgrounds have grown in complexity! they've gotten good at making the girl stand out

Coloured Black Cat commission. I wanted to put more colour into her hair and fur so I made the black of her suit a lot flatter and less colourful to contrast. And then the green outline to help her stand out from the white background. Hope you like!
