Tanabata is a star festival meaning ‘evening of the 7th.’ It marks the annual meeting on 7th July of the celestial star-crossed lovers, Orihime & Hikoboshi, who, according to Japanese legend, live on opposite sides of the Milky Way & are forbidden from meeting.
