イギリス・アブロ社が開発製造した対潜哨戒機。名は南極探検で功績を挙げたアーネスト・シャクルトンに由来する。1949年初飛行。1951年から1992年まで英国空軍で洋上哨戒と早期警戒にあたる。
また、南アフリカ空軍でも1953年から1984年まで洋上哨戒にあたる。
