set a new high water mark for remastering classic games with Wild Guns Reloaded and Ninja Warriors Again. They were able to maintain the look and feel of the original while totally revamping and improving the sprites.

I was playing through this just a couple of days ago. It's quite a good conversion. Controls are a little finicky. (I think they should have cut down the number of moves.) But I like these later-era C64 games with overlaid sprites. They look so beautiful and cartoon-y. 😎

Testing character designs. It's difficult to make a design that works in 8x8. I think I'll try combining head and body from 2 8x8 sprites. Though I think also to separate hair and head to have more flexibility (hair styles / helmets / hats, etc).
