The first steps are pretty universal:
First I start with flat colors. Ugly as sin. I always hate how my pages look at this stage.
Then I layer on shadows in a MULTIPLY layer. Still pretty ugly.

yes I tried it but I still think a lasso fill tool would free you from a lot of extra steps, procreate is great and the main program I use but this tool would really make it a lot better and quicker. making it faster to do things like this:

Ouch! I hate wasps. Take warm water, peppermint oil, and dawn dish soap. Mix it in a spray bottle and spray the border of your yard and around steps. It will keep them a way for 4-6 weeks. Hope you feel better!
