Pokemon trainer, one of my favorite newcomers from Brawl. I always found their concept creative and fresh. It’s unfortunate that they were weighed down by questionable gameplay mechanics but that’s all out the window in Ultimate. Now their one of my favorites.

3. Drakengard (PS2) by Yoko Taro. The gameplay is terrible and at the beginning looks a bad copy of fantasy games. But then, everything you know get washed away. Crazy and really mature plot, with dark main characters including a children cannibal.
3. It was hard to choose this but I think 358/2 Days falls closest to this requirement. From gameplay perspective the game was quite awful but I remember liking the story so I kept playing. I was almost 10 years younger back then though so IDK how I would enjoy the game nowadays.
2. I'm not a person who usually has a favorite over the all others but choosing Brigitte might seem like a pretty weird choice. As a character she's not all that deep, I know, but I really enjoy her nonetheless (not from gameplay perspective though). And her Swedish sounds sexy!

Recently got back into Pillars of Eternity! @Obsidian really out did themselves with creating an immersive RPG world with great character choices and gameplay! I just ran into a scene that reminded me of a particular moment from Mass Effect 2 involving a certain reporter!
1. Legend of Mana - I got this game when I was 11 and I have loved it ever since. I remember how melencholic I was when I had finished it, the art, music and gameplay had sucked me in and refused to let me go.

@pcgamer The Stalker games. I still play them and I'm trying to get my buddies to play them, but they come off as too old and it's hard to sell the atmosphere and Gameplay without actually getting someone to play them. Then there's all the modding you gotta do.

@ChaoticChimera I’m pretty much the opposite. I liked the gameplay! I’ve always liked card games and I picked up the card play mechanic pretty quickly. The story? This gif was basically me when I played. But I didn’t play the first game so I only have myself to blame.
