speaking of early gintama episodes, i really love episode 9. the clash between ginhiji towards the end of the episode, though not so much a clash since gintoki wasn't really fighting back, left a strong impression on me

TLDR: 3 episodes in, 86 has been a fun and engaging show. However, the massive hype surrounding the series might have caused some viewers to feel disappointed by its slow start. Right now, I'm enjoying it for what it is instead of worrying about what is not or what might become.

Designs didnt win me over, most of the voices dont seem to fit, personalities are jarring, story, lore, villains, are just so.....random? Its like watching Looney Tunes as a Superhero show

I finally finished this and I must say Aoi definitely lost some ground with me those last couple episodes can see why people dont like her but it wasnt enough to knock her that far down for me. Alternatively Fuuka actually gained alot of favor as of now they are virtually tied

Miyahara's corrections are fairly heavy in this first episode, but they do loosen up in future Cockpit episodes as Masunaga refines his wild style in a way that better meshes with the character sheets. That said, there's plenty left alone that I really dig.
