The latest in my quest to find low-poly head topology that (a) unwraps well (square) for pixel art textures and (b) lets me get a lot of morph differences (m/f, cheekbones, jaw shape, nose width, etc.) without adding/removing geo. C&C always welcome!

Day 391 - Got a fair bit done today! Finished the top row of teeth, got base materials set up (to see how it looks before actually making a texture image), got framework set up for the head, and added the two forehead horns!

Gotta share the current textures for Glenn too. This whole project is about what I kinda envisioned a remake version of the game would have looked like. Started this when I first heard rumors last year.

ok yeah, it says they redid the soundtrack too so I imagine that's what Mitsuda was working on

they also absolutely redid the portraits and texturework for the models which kinda sucks. the original game's art style and colors are so distinct and important to its visual identity
