i feel like im that crazy person who thinks the character designs of 2001 Fruits Basket were stronger than the latest. To me, more detail/shadows/highlights does equal a better look. the original had strong silouettes and storyboard compositions, but i digress

Second lockdown painting on the easel, large multi figure composition a year in the planning. Like all work it had to find its time to be made. Interesting how this image has taken on a whole new meaning under these conditions.
The teeth are always last.

2D look in 3D with NPR shader! The illustrations created here is done within Blender built-in nodes to achieve a fell of a grunge texture brush. Blender community is such a resourceful place to get tips and inspirations.
