Im revamping this old OC ❤ His original setting is Viking/Northern but Im giving him a better role in Under Eden's world. Not in Aelinore's story, but one abt the areas further North. Machines & frozen landscapes? Yes please 🌟

Spencer’s genius was to populate his religious images with locals & set them in Cookham landscapes. Self-portrait (1912), Zacharias & Elizabeth (1912-3), The Artist’s Left Hand (1913) & Fragments of a Self-Portrait (1913)

So... I’ve grown tired of drawing characters as of now, so I decided to start drawing some fantasy landscapes, cause I like them and to also try new drawing and painting techniques

These tall dark northern forests are a world apart from my dry landscape but they're the fantasy forests I grew up reading so they feel strangely familiar too.

I think visible women is always appropriate.

I've been drawing for about a year now! I do landscapes (drawing people has always eluded me.)

These alien landscapes are actually engravings of the Western US. There's some pretty weird geology out there but I think this exaggerates. https://t.co/9SYzBj6ow0

George Shaw (b 1966). Paints eerie claustrophobic landscapes of suburban liminal spaces. He paints with Humbrol enamels (model paints) and this helps him achieve the intensely eerie and weirdly British light in his paintings. they are incredible to see in person
