I asked @praetopotato for help with shading by sending a screenshot of my WIP of Karisa, and he just up and shaded it for me, so I guess it's a collab piece now
Will still maybe finish it in my style, but still looks cool!

What is one art tip or observation that changed the way you draw massively?

For me it’s the addition of slight shading and lighting to the corners of the mouth to add depth.

@VentilianVexus Another example where I also added some highlight into some of the spots I erased the shading to give it more depth, also using the airbrush tool

@VentilianVexus I use the airbrush tool to add shading and then I go back and use my eraser to add areas of light and add texture like fur and things. This has been my favorite so far but I'm still figuring out digital shading

2) Jim Cheung

Cheung is almost a direct opposite in terms of why I love Ramos. The stoic nature, almost statue-like presence of his illustrations feel grounded. Human in a way, but yet still captures that fantasy aspect in comics. Plus, his shading; particular and specific.

okay I took a break and then did basic shading:’) I barely do action poses so I thought it would be a fun type to do (i need a bit of work with them but it’s good for now)
