Stoorworm: giant venomous sea serpent with a forked tongue. Hatched into life by malignant spirits, his length was beyond telling. Unless supplied with food, he would expel a pestilential reek. He was slain by Assipattle.

In Norse Mythology, the Sea Serpent Jörmungandr is the son of Loki & the giantess Angrboða. Thrown in the depths of the ocean by Odin, it encircles all the world with its body, taking the name of the world serpent. Once it releases its tail, Ragnarök will begin. #FairyTaleTuesday
