Wooo! My digital illustration 1 course is complete! Here is my final project, we created playbill covers/posters for Broadway shows. I did mine for #hadestown! Here is the first initial sketch and design and the final vector illustration!
Eventually, that led me to sketching out ideas for a comic based on my "Banishment" series. Banishment had originally come from a traumatic time in my life and it felt like I needed to return to it in a way, so I thought I would explore what led up to the initial illustrations.

-Was not given much attention by parents during childhood
-Somewhat clingy to friends
-Sucks at mario kart
-Is always initially sus of everyone getting close to friends
Idk how far off that is from the initial prompt but it felt like an opportunity to do some lighting practice

In Venser's sketch I initially had his hood up, but it wasnt working particularly well later on. I came back to the idea with his other card Shaper Savant. Also in the sketch, I faded the bottom of him in indicating teleportation. Unfortunately, it clashed with the PW card format
I'm so happy how this piece turned out to be 😍

There's been a lot of media gaslighting that the Obama admin rescued the economy. The initial crash came after the last mid-term election under lame duck Bush, which gave Dems control of the house.

Another lil update! 💛✨ I like to do my lineart and flat colours at the same time! I figure out how I was my lineart to go and then adapt my initial sketched in colours to fit!
