Starting to realise that my issues with some "modern" art (meaning really old art but not literally from the 1500s) might stem not so much from it being difficult, as it was perceived by more conservative aesthetes at the time, as from elements of it retroactively becoming kitsch

Posting on twitter too my last studies of my OC Dejanira as innkeeper! The outfit on the right is more faithful to Renaissance fashion in Italy (early 1500s), the one on the left is a mix of different influences. Which one do you prefer?
