I've learnt that from Hyundai N Vision 74's video, that the designer of the DeLorean DMC-12, Giorgetto Giugiaro, said that he had the design inspiration for the DMC-12 from the very Hyundai Pony Coupe design in 1974, also the inspiration for N Vision 74.

So they did it first!
