Much like with yesterday's log, while I didn't draw the most realistic ice cube EVER, I certainly have improved my understanding of colors/lighting/etc.

Much work to be done, but I'm closer than I was.

... Coloring the new one may have been cheating. But I did my best to just slop some color in there. (I really wanted to just color the flower and got carried away).

A day behind because last night was pretty awesome. No worries though.

Coloring aside, I really like how this is the same basic idea, but Everything Is Upgraded! \o/ Not just technical art-skill improvement, but design improvement too!

- Little added color, nothing fancy.

I was just going to color her eyes and hat and got distracted.

- The original I did in steps - ink, color, shading, over the course of a few days.

Even with far less effort put into the new one, I can still see solid improvement. It just looks more solid despite the rather non-angelic pose of the reference XD <3

- Pushing that time clock a bit today XD

But this was originally done traditionally, took me a bit to dig up the original scan file.

What I like most is how fast I was able to draw it, and how it still looks solid \o/

- Four years ago I was on tumblr - not so much now, but the amazing Nne (https://t.co/P95zayDxeo) had a lot of beautiful pictures.

I think this time around I actually found a solid balance between reality land and personal art style -- (1/2)

- I wanted to do the same piece except less stylized and more realistic.

Alas, today neither my brain nor my spoons were up to the task, but I got *something* done.

Some days that step forward is TINY, but dammit I'll take it.

Day 2 - UGH
Just UGH.

I see what I did better, but I see what I did worse too and I was getting frustrated.

Knowing when to just Be Done is important, so I'm releasing this one as is and MOVING ON. <3
