...from the Buson Yokai Emaki, a famous picture scroll from the 1750's. A second fruit-headed monster on the scroll is makuwauri no bakemono, also appearing as a samurai with a Japanese melon for a head. Nothing is known about their behaviour or whether they are dangerous.
