A faithfully restored HD character portrait from the Switch version versus the HD Remix version on other consoles. I'm a huge fan of the late 80s/early 90s character art. I did not appreciate the *modernized* takes at all. They're so inauthentic.

Debuting in the original Streets of Rage, Abadede was a great design. Clearly based on the Ultimate Warrior (though the tongue out makes me think of Kiss too?), he's strongly distinct of the 80s/early 90s era.

It's a pity he never made it into SoR4, maybe we'll see him in 5?

Colored my ryu for fun. Always wanted to draw a late 80s/early 90s ryu. https://t.co/CpQnUvk6GD

Most of my cartoon watching when I was a young kid in the 80s/early 90s was dubbed anime.

In the francosphere, it's been mainstream for a very long time

I first started drawing in the late 80s/early 90s, so that art is long lost, but uh

My Granddad used to run a video shop in the late 80s/early nineties and here's a few more I remember watching!

That's also not including late 80s/Early 90s game art drawn like an anime cel sheet

Late 80s/Early 90s style, no idea what you would otherwise call it (and there's def more examples out there but these were what were in my folder) https://t.co/H4NAS8K2kx

Y'all know how much I love cartoons, so when sent me this mystery character I went nuts. It looks familiar. Still on the "elaborate hoax" theory. Looks late 80s/early 90s like The Dream Stone but I'm not sold. I redrew it to try and get a better reverse image result. https://t.co/o1ZyqNWc8w

Why did Napoleon Bonaparte show up so much in late 80s/early 90s entertainment? Does he still?

Que sera sera... This brochure is on the Toyota Sera, defined by its doors and glass. It was another of the remarkable Japan-only products dating from the country's late 80s/early 90s economic 'bubble'. 's enjoyable video on a modified one in Ireland deserves a look. https://t.co/1AVy3RPIr0

Hear me out, , but later 80s/early 90s anime vibe.

These four late 80s/early 90s cartoons were the first signs that Nelvana was truly a force to be reckoned with when it came to animated TV shows. In some ways, I'd argue they paved the way for the studio's future TV greats like 6teen, Clone High, Delta State, and Detentionaire.

PHOTOSENSITIVE WARNING:

Kawajiri was the king of OVA's in the late 80s/early 90s. Wicked City (1987) still has the best face punch in cinema, let alone anime.

If you’re feeling bonkers late 80s/early 90s indie monster movies low on budget but high on ambition, do this double feature on . Did it the other night and it was a blast.

Binging this about influential DJ Deirdre O’Donoghue. If you grew up in the late 80s/early 90s, you’ve gotta check it
(Love the interviews with Michael Stipe, , Julian Cope…)

you have to understand, american comic people in the late 80s/early 90s fucking LOVED Dirty Pair. They quickly replaced “looney tunes as super heroes” as the standard comic book joke for years.

TMNT, late 80s/early 90s. Sonic and Knuckles one, 1996. The dragon early 90s, and the colour pencil one, of my character Turbo , with the VERY Magic Knight Rayearth inspired armour, was early 2000s. I had so many boxes with loose paper with drawings on them.

Madureira's early work is so obviously influenced by Adams, before he found his own groove. I totally agree that Adam's style is the cornerstone for mid 80s/early 90s comic book art

The late-80s/early-90s Capcom devs must've been big Mach Go Go Go fans
