Here is how much anime used to cost in the 90ies/early 00’s. Before DVDs, you had to choose between dub or sub, with the subbed tapes being more expensive, and each tape was 2-3 episodes long. Long shows like Evangelion were expensive to collect and took YEARS to complete. 💀

Hello, I did games as a hobby in the 1990ies without publishing them and then ended up in PC-support, ERP-support, websites, web-backends in PHP, SQL DBs, Linux Servers, IoT and Testing. Now, games need servers and testers too and I would love to work in that area again.
