altered gerda’s ref and redrew kai’s. mostly hair changes (returning some of the softness gerda’s lost during simplification + making kai’s sleeker) but i also updated the clothes. ft. sketches exploring kai’s hair n trying new hair for gerda’s younger selves

I always imagined my characters moveset if he was fighting being a mix of Sun Jian’s and Guo Huai’s. Sun Jian’s being the one for his sword and Guo Huai for the Gatling gun.

I think the yellow leaves are actually Huening Kai’s. Also the purple fire I’m pretty sure is the eternal flame (RA, CYSM) I.e. the fire they can’t put out.

New Age feels very much like a GBA game from the era, with the odd mix of pixel and pre-rendered graphics, rotation effects, and disappointing audio. Overall, there’s something cheap about the game, although I prefer New Age’s updated designs to Shinsedai’s.
