the writers put so much thought into john/harrys relationship in the show, even though theyre minor characters they are so efficient with their screentime!! I just love the small wordless moments they put in, like the little handholding in the Anabasis scene, or when (1/?)

"Anabasis" by @whitekross doesn't get hype, but on secondary, nearly all beautiful, colourful iterations resembling abstract stained glass windows are gone.👀

Thus "Aphrodisian Anabasis" came to be, with its sci-fi hooker gangs. Some examples below. In the Roman-themed bit, I called the boss Caligula, had characters called Caecilius and Metella, and made the opening line of Catullus 16 a war cry. Classics PhD put to good use there.
The cult 1979 sci-fi dystopian film "Warriors" was based on a 400 BC event. In the "Anabasis", Greek soldier & historian Xenophon (430-354 BC) recounts "The March of the Ten Thousand": an army of Greek mercenaries stranded in Persia who must fight their way back home.
