I do love sparrows. These two are taking in old OS maps of Ardrossan & Saltcoats, with a sprinkling of the Shetland Islands, to celebrate old homes and the settled one.

The ferry home.
After our crossing from Brodick to Ardrossan was cancelled, it was a relief to get this from Lochranza to Claonaig.

But as soon as we climbed to the top and saw Arran falling away behind us I wished we had been stuck a little longer!

In 1388 Hotspur Percy was unhorsed at Newcastle & his banner stolen by Douglas. Hotspur attacked Scots camp to recover banner. Douglas was deliberately stabbed by his own armour bearer in the confusion. Hotspur was captured & his ransom monies used to rebuild Ardrossan Castle.
