AUTISTIC PRIDE: I'm actually happy to be autistic at all! Stimming, special interests, fidgeting, constant imagination everywhere I go -- It gives me a fun adventure! I even learned a couple things from Auctober 2022!💛

ROUTINES: I gotta have a daily routine! Everyday, I go for breakfast, lunch and dinner even if it's just a cup of yogurt or a banana. Toast is always good, but I like mine with cream cheese or peanut butter.

Joining in for Day 29 - Gold 🌟

This character is from a book I illustrated by and has gold as their colour as it's the colour of

(also as they have a 'heart of gold' cos they're kind 💛)

GOLD: The chemical symbol fits perfectly well! Also, gold is cool, and from the periodic table 😄🟨

Autism is highly hereditary. A lot of adults have realized that they're autistic after their child gets diagnosed as autistic. My dad has an autistic child (me) and an autistic grandchild. He's also pretty sure his dad was autistic.

Plushies are great for kids, but adults too! They're great for snuggling, can provide comfort, and can have soothing textures. Never be ashamed of your plushed friends!

Hyperlexia is having advanced reading skills beyond your age. These are the people who regularly read Stephen King in grade school.
Most hyperlexics are autistic. When I looked it up the percentage was over 80%! Not going to lie, I wish I was hyperlexic.

COMFORT MEDIA: Every night before bed, I get myself a cartoon DVD like Ed Edd n Eddy, Spongebob or such and put it on Title Repeat. That way, I actually have entertainment to keep myself comfortable trying to fall asleep! 🛏️

ECHOLALIA: I do have a sense of word repetition when it comes to cartoons! Could even repeat some lines from Spongebob Squarepants. The repetitive wording hit me the hardest when I was still at school 😅

50-70% of the autistic community also has ADHD! The term AuDHD has come up as a label for this. While I don't have ADHD there are plenty of other autistic creators who do!

Au-DHD: Hyperactivity? -- Well, I do irreversibly run around the house and wave my arms around like a maniac to burn some energy if that helps. I'd wanna do that, but at a swimming pool or a water park! Those places are always fun.🌊

VERBAL STIMS: I like to make brief noises with my mouth -- nearly all the time😀-- and it's a fun habit!

Non-speaking autistics are such an important part of the entire autistic community. We need to stop thinking that spoken word is the only valid form of communication. There's sign language, text, AAC devices, and so much more!

People focus too much on sensory overload, and not enough on sensory euphoria. What sensory things, be they noises, tastes, textures, smells, etc. make you feel great happiness?

12 59

SENSORY EUPHORIA: Physically speaking, arm rubs keep me very happy, and always feel calming. Visually speaking, just the mere sighting and presence of Japan (I'd wish to stay there forever🐰) always makes me feel safe and sound! 🗾
