This is a John Gerrard Keulemans appreciation tweet. For his illustrations of birds, he was like the Dutch version of John James Audubon. But unfortunately, many of his avian subjects, most of which were in New Zealand, would meet their demise during the 19th and 20th centuries.

He's originally an attempt to design Alastor with an animal motif that makes sense for New Orleans, the famous Albino Alligator in Audubon.
Now he's trying to kill Al instead, hahaha, that's just to jumpstart Alastor's redemption.
