Now I know not many of you like Basarios. Hell, some of y'all hate Basarios.
But he's too cute to not have a LEGO build.
And yeah, you can "break" his chest!

The amount of ore in Basarios's shell makes it closer to a rock than a shell. The shell can be used to refine metals. The shelling on its torso is relatively thin and easy to manipulate. The wings are a very hard material to work with.
Despite not being fully grown yet, Basarios is a fairly large and heavy monster. The rocky shell that covers Basarios's body protects it from attacks and makes the flying wyvern extremely heavy. Not only does the rocky shell provide it protection, but it also acts as a weapon.
While Gravios is known as the "Armor Wyvern" due to its armor-like appearance, Basarios is known as the "Rock Wyvern" due to its rock-like appearance. This flying wyvern often spends most of its time hiding underground with only its back exposed.
@nyanilla_ In Monster Hunter Rise, there are several "baby" monsters whose adult counterparts do not show up. Most Notably are Basarios and Gravios, as well as Tetsucabra and Tetsy, the baby that Guild Master Hojo keeps as a pet.
Ruby Basarios is a mystery since we don't know what it'll eventually become or if it'll become anything else at all. https://t.co/LX07AaUbqj

Today's monster is Ruby Basarios, introduced in Monster Hunter 4 in Japan and Monster Hunter 4U globally.
Something interesting about Monster Hunter Stories 2 (and 1 actually, didn't know you could get gravy in 1):
Basarios is the young version of Gravios, it starts out at a normal monster size and hides as rocks. When it gets to be fully mature it turns into Gravios, a big dragon
Time for Sinnoh. I'm killing two birds with one Stone with Roark and Byron. Roark will get Basarios and Byron will get Gravios. Barasios is the juvenile form of the Gravios, and Roark is Byron's son.
Fact: Rahlea is modeled after the Basarios/Gravios line of monsters.
By extension, she's capable of generating large amounts of heat, which can then be released the same way the two stone dragons do so in actual gameplay.
She's more or less a walking furnace.

There juvenile Gravios are famous for their rock-hard carapaces. They often burrow underground, mimicking rocks and savaging oblivious miners.

this one was particularly challenging because the icon is so simplistic, that it leaves a lot to interpretation. i interpreted it as basarios coming out of the ground or half in it.
