A 1hr colored sketch of @alexriesart’s birrin infected by the alien menace, the xenomorph.
A private commission showing birrin sailors in a new generation of high tech composite yachts racing up the Drowned Coast.
nyehehehe look it’s me!! also holy shit birrin art in the wild,, damn the quality has lowered over time :skull: you guys should watch CA’s video on birrin very good would recommend https://t.co/NpbFrQUD2w
As you can see, many of this group are predators. They are not quadrilaterians like the birrin, and come from another line.
A portrait of a birrin named Set. Spent a lot of time Upriver; rough years.
The Oversky Republic ruled by Elvatriss included millions of inhabited planets, but not all of them were interesting for development.
A pair of naturalists are busy studying the fauna of one of these unnamed planets. The birrins of @alexriesart are still wild, but same pretty.
My illustration process: as you can see, with birrin I sometimes use a very simple 3D dummy to paint over for the basic pose. I then block in each distinct area with a random color before going into detail.
Birrin from one of the resurgent Houses sailing up the drowned coast. Wind power is starting to be deployed in force in the new cities, as is the manufacture of composites.
Portrait of Set, an old man from the far reaches of Two Sky River. He's seen a lot of summers.
For the Birrin book.
If the birrin went to screen, how should they be voiced? Dubbed? Just speak human? Subtitles?
Who would be good voice actors?
(The birrin is the little lass on the branch)
Some sneaky samples of rough birrin book storyboards.
I use random text for blocking only so dont worry about the faux latin!
Birrin head variants: at this stage they had two lower eye stalks and a single asymmetrical upper long stalk. Though largely outdated, the interior of the mouth-parts may be close to these.
