The new Mayu reminds me of Omnimon Alter S.

The new Mayu has Tama as her White side and Iona as her Black side swapped.

Omnimon has Wargreymon as sword and Metalgarurumon as canon while Alter S swapped Blitzgreymon as canon and Cresgarurumon as sword.

BlitzGreymon is super goated. When I first saw it revealed, I thought it wouldn't do much for me, but impressions completely changed over time when I succeeded into evolving MetalGrey into this beast in the v-pet. And it's had a decent place in my heart ever since.

What I said about the Agumon Line being more natural if it ended in Blitzgreymon works even better for the Gabumon Line. He becomes wolf, stands up, then gets Armor and a Sword. Hell Cresgarurumon even shares colorations with Gabumon!
