In the future mines & coal pits became her passion, but here Anne didn't have time to try to see the black lead mine in Borrowdale.
This makes me properly sad.😭

There are 2 theories on how the Bowder Stone of Borrowdale came to be where it is:
1. The rock was carried down the valley by a glacier many thousands of years ago, or 2. It fell down in a gigantic rockfall from Bowder Crag, 200m above the stone 10,000 years ago (more likely). 🪨
