My Favourite C64 Platformers No.11
The Castles of Dr Creep
Broderbund 1984
A brilliantly atmospheric game, TCoDC is ace – check it out if you don't know it. A mix of platforming & puzzling, it has more depth than most examples of the genre & in 2 player mode it really shines.
My favourite C64 Shoot ‘em ups – No.6
Choplifter!
Broderbund 1982
One of the first-ever C64 shoot 'em ups, Choplifter! is a cracking port of the Apple original. Atmospheric, tense, and with simple but superbly animated graphics, it’s supremely playable and loads of fun.
Feeling some powerful 1980s nostalgia as I tinker with this #PrintShop emulator...

The #Armory 1581 - Broderbund! Time for a weapon based on the Carmen Sandiego titular character, Carmen! Every good thief needs a hookshot.
Speaking of throwback, I forgot to mention: when Broderbund did get rid of the banner-style logo in 1994, suddenly an animated version of the 1993 logo showed up in several games (between 1994 and 1996)! They couldn't even be consistent in that regard!
Choplifter for the Atari 8-bit computers scanned. Classic Broderbund game that was ported to tons of computers and consoles. Fly a copter to free and rescue prisoners while avoiding being blasted by tanks and other planes. https://t.co/8blZKh5qTi
Pokémon Project Studio, a printables creation program, was developed under the working title "Pokémon Print". It was based on Broderbund's "The Print Shop" - more directly, it was a modified version of Rugrats Print Shop. Remnants of both predecessors exist in the software.
Napoleon Senki by Irem for the Famicom has been scanned. A strategy war game in which you relive various famous battles. Was almost brought state side by Broderbund but was cancelled. https://t.co/upNUETiYBM
