Recross being an issue where Warren Ellis just totally lays into Chichester's whole run was oddly satisfying

OTD 1602 Chichester took Tyrone's stronghold at Inishloughan. Held by 42 shot and 20 swordsmen, it had '2 deep ditches both compassed with strong palisades...high and thick rampeire..well flanked with bulwarks'. It had little chance against well-placed artillery

so far in the Midnight sons reread I'm perhaps enjoying Nighstalkers the most, and there's a good old fashioned air balloon chase in issue 4. (Chichester/Garney/Palmer/Costanza)

Thank you to D.G. Chichester, Scott McDaniel, Christie Scheele, and the rest of the Daredevil team for the best glasses Matt Murdock has ever worn.

Occasionally a bit turns up from the Troubles. Watergate from the former Masserine barracks site. Royal Marine patrols used this to access L. Neagh during the 90s, in a quirk of history its (almost) the same place Chichester raided from 1600-1602

OTD 1597 James MacSorley MacDonnell annihilated John Chichester's force at the Aldfreck near Carrickfergus. English took umbrage at Scots 'haughty demeanour' & charged, but volleys from concealed Irish shot shattered Chichester's men, he was shot in head and killed

This 'Spotlight Saturday' we are returning one of our favourite collections here at the museum - a collection of Coachbuilders designs from Cutten's coachbuilders, Chichester. This time we are featuring a few of the more quirky coach designs.

Same problem yesterday at , Chichester. No hand maps (good, COVID risk ✅ ) but NO WALL MAPS in hallways & junctions?! Lost patients helping each other with directions daily. Obscure ward names instead of dept names, etc. Told staff, just like I did 10 years ago! 😏
