THE LAST WOLF in England was reputedly killed in Cumbria in 1390 after a chase all the way from Coniston Fells to Humphrey Head. The folktale is retold in a rare book published in Grange-over-Sands in 1906 by Mrs J. Mercier 'The Last Wolf' #IntheCompanyofWolves #rewilding
