Whenever I wanted to do something weird with the lore, I would discover something more interesting with the original creators. So Dixie wasn't in DK64 because she was looking for luck as a singer.
(Original version with Dixie in the Jail)
4 games that shaped my childhood.
Let's not forget the N64 Nintendo and Rare games: MK64, SM64, OoT, DK64, Jet Force Gemini, Goldeneye, Banjo-Kazooie, etc. https://t.co/0jjDw41hCO
so the dkc series up to dk64 would have to take place during ‘wrecking crew,’ which explains wrinkly kong’s absence as the queen of the jungle kingdom; she’s dead.
More Dixie Kong and Krunch the kremling, plus a DK64 Kritter.
I think this is longer than I thought

Monkeys and crocodiles for all
And more Dixie Kong and Krunch the Kremling.

Now featuring Tiny Kong, King K. Rool, DK64's Kritter, Klump and Kobble
I drew this in 2018 (-22 = 1996, DKC3... 1997 in DKL3)
The DK64 video reminded me of Tiny's drastic redesign. What the fuck happened.
You know how Donkey Kong 64 took Super Mario 64's floating haunted books and made them little ripoffs of Banjo-Kazooie's Cheato? It's virtually illegible in the actual game, but a closer look reveals them all as "DK64 Players [sic] Guide" copies! What a stupid library. #DKUFacts
@ShezaMonQuay Actually I think DK64 (and maybe Diddy Kong racing?) were the only games to have hairy eyelids for Diddy

Next time we start with dk64 and we FINISH dk64
Other entries from the #RareArchiveDive include various DK64 renders at a much higher resolution than we've seen. The render we've always had can be seen on the left, with it's large scale new version on the right. 2/3
@KRoolKountry 🙏plz be a 3d dk game plz be a 3d dk game 🙏
I know it's probably impossible but holy shit it would be so cool, and it's been TWENTY THREE YEARS since DK64 after all....
But with a lot of later ones, like Banjo Tooie or DK64, there was far less cohesion. Levels instead focused on world-specific ways to obtain the collectables, probably having to do with the worlds and the over all games just being bigger. More characters and even more playstyles.
A Phoon and Zahra drawing somewhat inspired by two random things I happened to stumble upon while interneting today. I am impressed with how I can accidentally reverse engineer unintentional character depth, since I am also easily amused by DK64 Rap Mash-Ups. :V
