I think it's one of the most interesting things about DKC3. But it also muddles the difficulty in the middle of the game.

I think what really puts DKC3 below DKC2 is just the quality of the levels themselves: too many slow gimmicks. DKC is better faster. FASTER!

Fact I have said in the past that Gwenpool's powers were inspired by Kiddy Kong (see Fact but her appearance was based on Dixie Kong. Her creators must be big fans of DKC3. Uh...not her creators, since she's a real person, just...the universe, I guess.
