I was OBSESSED with the metal virus as it was coming out! It was SO harrowing! It brought out all the best aspects of Sonic. I LOVED what they did with Omega, Gemerl was great, we got to see Tails' Cyclone again, and it really had me wondering "how will they survive this?"

Belle's introduction and characterization felt very contrived and odd to me. Sonic acted very out of character with a sentient robot he just met. Compare their first meeting so Sonic and Emerl's first meeting. Sonic doesn't have a personal bias against robots.

Oh Gemerl for SURE. Ex-villain, Cream the Rabbit’s guardian. In the games he’s only appeared in Sonic Battle and Sonic Advance 3, so he hasn’t been seen since 2004. But every time he appears in the comics it makes me smile so hard.
