Longipterygidae is a group of #enantiornithine birds famous for their long jaws with teeth only at the very end. As no member of the group has a fossil with a complete skull, we created reconstructions based on several specimens (different colors in the image).

Even though it's been a year, I still can't believe Enantiornithine birds, or at least one genus or enantiornithine bird, inhabited Madagascar during the Late Cretaceous. Makes you wonder if there were any genera/species that lived on the island and the African Continent.
