had a lil comeback recently, but Scourge is one of the greatest Sonic villains of all time
I would go as far as to say that in my eyes, he is Flynn's greatest work
The amount of nuance that goes into his writing goes unnoticed, due to the nature of him being "An evil double" https://t.co/eHl7DIqBjC
The problem with this is it's only Ian Flynn's Shadow that acts like this, even just with western media. Evan's Shadow is played with a bit more kindness beneath his edge, and Caleb Goellner's Shadow from the TSR one-shot is far more logical and reserved.
Can I be real? Ken Penders' final story arc is frankly one of my favorites from him. I feel this arc sets the stage well for Flynn's Shadow portrayal, we see Shadow's attachment to Hope develop, filling the void left by Maria, and Shadow's respect for Sonic grows. The fact Flynn
Say what you will about Ian Flynn referencing earlier stuff in Sonic Frontiers or the comics he wrote for.
In both cases, I still prefer Flynn's more active care for the Sonic lore than the writing from both of his immediate predecessors.
Looking at Flynn's archive from this year, this is pretty much its entire content described in 3 pictures.
Sonic comics before Ian Flynn: Made by a bunch of 90s comic writers and artists during the franchise's infancy, the staff building a comic series inspired by media they're familiar with.
Sonic comics after Ian Flynn's arrival: Made by writers/artists who grew up with Sonic, based
honourable mention to flynn's finishing line for killing the arc's main villain
I love Ian Flynn's version of Light Mobius seen in Mobius 30 Years Later. The Tails/Mina and Bunnie/Antoine children are cool. And of course Lara-Su and Argyle, they're Ken's but I love them too.😍
Also King Sonic actually enjoying being king this time around👑😎
Y'know... I notice that some of the plot choices in Archie Sonic that people REALLY complain about a lot come not from any writer, but rather from the EDITORS...
Justin Gabrie mandated this love triangle in Karl Bollers' run, and Mike Pellerito mandated King Shadow in Flynn's run

Archie, despite not giving a rat's ass about Sonic the Hedgehog anymore, still retains the rights to Ian Flynn's (Aleah Baker and Evan Stanley's as well) characters from the Archie run of Sonic. Like Thrash, Rosy, Tilly, Lord Mordred Hood, or any others they made? You're never
Ken Penders did not kill Archie Sonic's Pre-SGW continuity. Sega did, they clearly saw the legal battle as an opportunistic moment, to streamline the comics, much like they were doing with the games from 2010 onwards. Aborting Ian Flynn's Sonic Underground continuation, and
Fun Facts about Flynn's Hobbies #3:
