Common cottongrass/cottonsedge grows on peat/acidic soils in open wetland, heath or moorland. Aka bog cotton! DYK it was used for treatment of diarrhoea, to make paper, candle wicks, pillow stuffing & WW1 wound dressings!📷Irishcentral.
