another thing i like about the family is how ralts has an obvious mouth but in the original arts kirlia and gardevoir's are hidden, which makes them feel a bit more alien. the way the "hair" is drawn is also kind of interesting, especially since it seems similar to their bodies

While it may seem ambiguous as her attack illuminates her in a particular way, the BIG tell is her dress. The underside of Gardevoir's skirt matches her hair, and here it is clearly a shade of blue instead of a shade of green.
