I watched the first episode of Alex Garland's 'Devs' last night. Sisterly soporific, with an understated malign performance from Nick Offerman, it looks likely to sit (un)comfortably alongside Garland's other exemplary sci-fi work. Recommended.

We finally got to see Judy on the weekend, movie about Judy Garland's final few months starring Renee Zellweger. It's not exactly uplifting, but it's extremely well done, due in large part to Zellweger's utterly convincing performance. Highly recommended.
