Friday Feb 18th - 'Metropolis' (1917) by George Grosz. His hellish vision of Berlin was painted in the middle of the Great War, and was later exhibited in the 1937 exhibition of 'Degenerate Art', four years after Grosz, an outspoken critic of the Nazis, emigrated to the US.

¿Os imaginais poder contemplar juntas obras de Max Beckmann, Chagall, Otto Dix, Max Ernst, Grosz, Heckel, Von Jawlenski, Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Kirchner, Kokoschka, El Lissitzky, Franz Marc, Metzinger, Mondrian, Otto Mueller, Nolde, Pechstein, Schmidt-Rottluff, Schwitters?
@onidraws Somebody who captures the feel of something’s character (psychology) rather than focusing purely on their psychical attitributes. Examples are Daumier, Otto Dix, Grosz, Hogarth and Gerald Scarfe. They tend towards political cartoons but the style also is seen in Asterix books.
