#264 Katsushika Hokusai & Oei
It is believed that Hokusai’s father made mirrors for the shogunate and that he started painting around the age of six, watching his father.
As for Oei, she pursued her career after divorcing her husband & was quite successful! She never remarried.
print from Hokusai’s 'Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji' (1760–1849)

Not only do I love the Midnight Breeze vibes and commitment to detail, but I also appreciate @dutchtide ‘s reverence of including heritage Japanese art
Notice Katsushika Hokusai’s 蛸と海女 “Dream of the Fisherman's Wife” or “Diver Girl and Octopus” against the wall backdrop(1/2)
