Happy #InternationalFlowerDay from Bessie Downes 🌷🌻🌺
Bessie Downes made a unique record of plant species found along the Sefton coast.
Her beautiful watercolour illustrations provide us with a snapshot of the botany of our coast from the 1890s & into the early 20th century.
It is #InternationalFlowerDay and #BrewAPotionDay so I’m catching up with this old “no deadline” DTIYS challenge that fit today’s holidays: #viv2kdtiys, featuring an adorable floral witch 😊 Who said witches could only come out during Halloween? Nobody! 😆 #drawthisinyourstyle
Here is my next entry to #leifylist2023 for #InternationalFlowerDay and the prompt “gardening tools.”
I don’t know about you but I love gardening just like her, and I’m excited for springtime so I can get to gardening again:) 🌸🌻🌷💐🌿🍃🌱🪴
