In the beginning, Ember told me she had two moms.
I wanted to write a healthy, real relationship that kids could see and think...oh a family. Like so many kids who have two moms or two dads. It's life.
Ember loves her moms and all their quirks.

Kids see and hear everything. And if we don't talk to them, they won't know what to do with what they see and hear.
Kids are smart. Horror is healthy.
