If Jellies lived anywhere other than the water, I think they’d live in a forest, on a stalk like a mushroom.

Here is Colobonema sericeum (or the silky medusa) doing a little jelly dance in space! As Earthly as jellies are, their buoyancy and delicate bodies make me think of them in the vacuum of space.

Check out to see all the jellies shared so far!

I did a couple of these jellies in space for and this one is my favourite. I've learned a few things about how to better apply stars. This is C. sericeum being coy, in outer space!

I couldn't do only one for - Jellies in Space, of course. This technique was such fun, I had to do a second one. This is C. sericeum being coy, in outer space!

What do you think of this nebula-esqe technique?

I took my latest - Bloom painting into Photoshop to see what I could do by way of a pattern. I'm quite pleased with these results! Patterns in order: offset, crossweave, random, plain. Which is your favourite?

I challenged myself to paint Periphllya with watercolour instead of acrylic. Not entirely keen on the outcome but it was a fun exercise. I changed the tentacles up from the original drawing for kicks. ☺️
