Many moons ago I worked with Paolo Pantalena on Jirni for Aspen Comics. I really enjoyed coloring this series. Peter Steigerwald taught me a lot during this period in not only learning the Aspen house style but also about the fundamentals of working the warms & cools. Good times!

vol 1 is awesome. Old school art reminiscent of the image days with its complex lines and bold outlines which I adore! Great story and heavy on the fan service too. A comic of the times for sure in that regards, but a badass free d’jinn wrecking house!! Loved it!!

Aroka had a pet: Iggy. He's a stunted Terjirnix. Sometimes they grow as big as houses and other times there tiny meatloafs. He never got bigger than a standard dog but he's a good boy!

Context for something I'm gonna post later: This is Bhanu (a bat/possum) holding a Terjirnix. Long time ago I got a commission of these two together. Sadly, it's gone, exploded with an old computer. Anyway Terjirnix' are like pets, dogs to be exact. They love belly rubs!
