ESPIRIDIONA "NONAY" BONIFACIO
Among the first female members of Katipunan, Nonay safekept weapons of the revolutionary cadres. She famously concealed guns & bullets with cutlery & kitchenware.
Nonay was also a spymistress, rooting out Spanish intelligence during the revolution.
One of the founders and Supremos of the Katipunan, Andres Bonifacio, was born 157 years ago today. Bonifacio's death at the hands of his fellow countrymen is a mistake we have yet to learn from, as the people who actively fight for the betterment of the country are persecuted.
