That "MAKIMAKIMAKI!!" shout by Sonic Juice seems out of place, but not if you remember the Egyptian chojin Mr. Khamen from thr 80s manga series "Kinnikuman." He had the same weird shout as Juice.

So in the Min Min reveal, Sakurai mentioned that if you Google "Springman", you'll get results of an enemy from a certain manga.

That's a reference to Springman from Kinnikuman.

Y'know Ultimate Muscle from 4Kids? Yeah, that's the sequel to Kinnikuman.

When Sakurai said Springman “a certain enemy from a manga”, he meant the enemy Springman from Kinnikuman (aka Ultimate Muscle in NA but it’s actually the sequel of Kinnikuman) since he also mentioned “Akuma Chojin”, that’s what the enemies are called in Kinnikuman.
