Sound! Euphonium - the story of high school brass band club from Shoko Ikeda, the chief character designer, brought many characters to life with her stunning technique. She passed away in the KyoAni tragedy on 18 July 2019.

It utterly breaks my heart after hearing what happened to It was through most of their titles that got me closer to the anime fandom, and made some of my favorite titles of all time.

I’m deeply saddened after hearing about the arson fire at Their talent, hard-work, dedication and incredible attention to detail has led to jaw-dropping masterpieces. The studio is truly a cut above the rest. My heart goes out to KyoAni and their families 💔
