Deurgar finished for #LibrumProdigiosum encyclopedia of mythical creatures and monsters.
#conceptart #characterdesign
Here's another completed creature I didn't upload previously for #LibrumProdigiosum from my first batch. This is Karakoncolos, a type of troll/ogre. Again, done in mixed media (mainly gouache). Best wishes for the week ahead. #art #artistsontwitter

This one is a daily deviation! I am so happy about it c:
A faun for #LibrumProdigiosum!
I really liked the idea of using grapevines for transmasc scars :’) wanna represent, plus Greco-Roman mythology definitely isn’t a stranger to trans themes #procreate
Gryla, an Icelandic, child-eating Christmas ogre for #LibrumProdigiosum :) #Procreate
The Caribbean Crowing Snake

The water spirits all together! These creatures all have the same myth root origins, spreading through Scandinavian and Germanic cultures - which I didn't even know when I originally chose them but I just think is super neat.
A Nixie, Nykur, and Fossegrim.
#LibrumProdigiosum
And the last of my water spirit trio, the #Nykur. They are definitely the most malicious of the three and have a bad habit of hauling people into lakes to drown them. Though a canny traveler will know them by their backwards legs and ears and steer well clear.

More for the #LibrumProdigiosum
Spider of Leng :D
My first Arachnid
Finished!
Nixies are female Nix (from the Norse Nykr, the same cultural root as the Fossegrim). They are shapechangers known to lure people into their waters using their songs. Later stories also portrayed them with less strictly malevolent sides.

I was finally able to finish this fairy section header piece for #LibrumProdigiosum ! I'm super happy with how it came out! ✨🌸🍃

Finished my Fossegrim for the #LibrumProdigiosum!
Here he's playing the traditional Hardanger fiddle, for which he knows 11 secret songs. He can be convinced to teach his skills if the supplicant follows a strict set of requirements involving goats, waterfalls, and Thursdays.
A sneak peek of what I've been working on!
It's a fossegrim, one of three pieces I've chosen to do for the #LibrumProdigiosum project!
